The Forty Niner Restaurant was open in 1947 by brothers Richard and Henry Chagami when they returned from World War Ⅱ where they served in ltaly and France with the 442nd Army Regimental Combat Team.

Forty Niner’s sincere caring service, great food, reasonable prices and convenient location has allowed this special place to continually run longer than any other free standing restaurant on the island.

We will continue our model of treating people as family, and we invite you to come in, enjoy and reminisce about old Hawaii.
